HOW IT WORKS

‣     An osteopath has a highly developed sense of palpation,

and is trained to detect and assess the dynamic state of

your body tissues, both within the cranium, the viscera

        and the musculoskeletal system.

‣       He will first take your detailed case and medical history.

Then together with a thorough knowledge of anatomy and

physiology the osteopath will assess the pattern and quality

of your movement and try to put together the story of what

traumas have not been well accommodated by your body,

and why present symptoms have developed.

‣       During your treatment he/she will support your body in its

attempt to return to health and balance by using gentle

techniques to release strain patterns. This type of treatment

is extremely gentle and therefore suitable for everyone from

newborn to babies and to the very elderly.

‣       Osteopathic manipulative treatment is composed of manual

techniques that today’s osteopathic practitioners may use to

alleviate your pain, restore your freedom of motion, and

enhance your body’s own healing power.
